Antikvariát Walden was founded at the beginning of 2021 with a clear aim: to bring to the online world a place where you don't have to click through pages of books in all sorts of languages, pulp novels, textbooks or life-hack recipes.
A careful selection
Our selection reflects a view of literature as art, so don't look here for authors and titles that never came close to that goal. You'll find carefully chosen books in Slovak and Czech, in a handful of genres but with a rich range of fiction.
A place for bookaholics
The DNA of this bookshop is not to sell everything that has pages, nor to take in books for free just because it's an easy way to make money (that's what other antiquarian bookshops are for), but to create a place for bookaholics who appreciate a narrow, high-quality selection of books.
The joy of a book found
We take immense joy in every reader we can find a book for that they have been hunting for years. We look for a balance between supply and demand, and we never forget that antiquarian bookselling is a child of bibliophilia.
